Mark Coin
President
Favorite species to hunt: Waterfowl and Turkey
Mark Coin was born and raised in game rich Western KY. At an early age he began hunting small game. Marks father was not a hunter, but his uncle, David Westerfield, was an avid deer hunter and waterfowler, and he molded Mark into the hunter he is today. Mark grew up hunting on a large tract of public property, where, he honed his hunting and calling skills by competing against other hunters for waterfowl and longbeards. He quickly learned that to be successful, that he had to master all aspects of hunting or go home empty handed.
Mark has competed in calling contests for years. He won the first Owl Hooting contest he entered (KY State), and has won or placed in several other contests after that, including a top 5 finish in the Owl Hooting division at the 2008 NWTF Grand Nationals. On the waterfowl side, he also has won or placed in several World Style and Meat Calling contests, including winning the KY State in 2004. He also called in the World Duck Calling Championship that same year.

Joel Ewing
Video Production / Shipping Manager
Favorite species to hunt: Deer and Turkey
Born in Owensboro but raised in Ebenezer KY. Joel grew up hunting his family farm with his father. It was in that great tradition of fathers teaching thier sons to hunt that Joel fell in love with the outdoors and hunting as well as the idea of sharing that passion with others. In those early years it was all about deer hunting for Joel and it wasn't until his junior year in high school that Joel got "The Sickness" for chasing long beards in the spring when he asked a fellow student Jason Kidd to teach him how to turkey call. Two days and Four longbeards later both Joel and Jason had filled thier tags and formed a friendship that years later would help pave the way for Down N Dirty Outdoors. Along with Mark Coin, Joel handles the graphic design work at DND designing call packaging, shirts and logo's as well as produces and edits "The Spring Sickness" DVD series and the "In The Blood" TV show.
Jason Kidd
Public Relations
Favorite species to hunt: Turkey, Deer, Waterfowl
Jason was born in Somerset, KY and moved to Muhlenberg Co. at the age of six where he started his hunting career with small game and deer with his dad, Reed Kidd. Jason was introduced to the world of turkey hunting by a close family friend, Claron Johnson, at the age of 13. From the first time he stepped into the woods on a beautiful spring morning and heard a turkey gobble, he was hooked. After Jason had been turkey hunting for a couple ears, he started calling in contests, and was blessed to be able to win and place in several local, regional, and state contests over the last several years.
In 2001, Jason met Mark Coin through a friend while duck hunting. After spending a couple years in the swamps and blinds together, there was no doubt that their passion and obsession for the outdoors was mutual, and talks quickly turned to the need for a new breed of call in the market – turkey, duck & goose calls that were of the utmost quality, sounded like the real thing, and were priced so anyone could afford them. In a conversation on the way to the KY State Duck Calling Contest in early 2004, Down N Dirty Outdoors was born.
